It was a Tuesday morning like any other. Sunlight streamed through the wide classroom windows, pencils scratched on paper, and the hum of young voices filled the air. Then came a whisper that stopped everything.

Eight-year-old Clara, small and soft-spoken, looked up from her desk and said to her teacher, Mrs. Sarah Thompson:
“Teacher, my grandpa did it again.”

The words hung in the air. Her classmates fell silent, sensing something unusual. Sarah felt her chest tighten. She had been teaching for over a decade, but never had she heard something so heavy fall from the lips of a child.

She started smiling again in class. She laughed at jokes. She raised her hand to answer questions. And one day, she handed Sarah a drawing—two stick figures holding hands under a bright sun. At the bottom, in wobbly letters, it said: “Thank you for saving me.”
