At the gas station, a red dog suddenly appeared and started barking loudly at the employees: but shortly after, something terrible happened, and everyone understood the reason for the dog’s strange behavior 

The end of the shift at the gas station had been tough. Two employees, tired but satisfied, exchanged glances and a few words about how difficult the day had been, but how they managed to get through it. Work was coming to an end, and they could finally relax a little.

Suddenly, their conversation was abruptly interrupted by loud barking. They turned around and saw, on the wet asphalt, a red dog. It stood near the pump and barked loudly and persistently, as if it were trying to say something.

At first, it seemed like a simple annoyance: how many stray dogs wander around? But after a few seconds, it became clear that something was wrong with this dog.

The dog stared directly at the men. When they came closer, it barked even louder and rushed at them. One of the employees got scared and raised his hand, as if to protect himself.

But the dog unexpectedly stood up on its hind legs, put its front paws on his chest, and continued barking right in his face. It seemed like it was doing everything it could to draw their attention.

— Leave us alone! — the second one said irritably and even pushed the animal away with his foot.

But the dog didn’t give up. It ran around them, growling and jumping again. At one point, it grabbed one of the worker’s pants with its teeth. The man screamed, but the fabric tore, and from his pocket fell his wallet. The dog immediately snatched it with its mouth and dashed away.

— Damn mutt! — the man shouted, and together with his colleague he ran after it.

And that was the exact moment when something unexpected happened, after which everyone understood why the dog had been behaving so strangely.  To be continued in the first comment 

They had only run a few meters when suddenly a deafening explosion rang out. One of the gas cylinders standing next to the pump had unexpectedly detonated. The shockwave rippled across the station, and flames burst out.

The employees, confused, turned around sharply. The realization came instantly: if they had stayed there, next to the pump, they would no longer be alive. By leading them away to a safe distance, the dog had in fact saved their lives.

The men stopped, breathing heavily, stunned by what had just happened. The red dog, as if it understood that its job was done, put the wallet down on the asphalt and simply looked at them — with a calm, intelligent gaze.

In that moment, they realized: it wasn’t a vicious or random dog. It knew exactly what it was doing.
